The Creative Institute of Central Arkansas is Now Create Conway!
CONWAY, AR —The Creative Institute of Central Arkansas revealed their new brand and vision as Create Conway Monday night at a brand launch party event. The Creative Institute of Central Arkansas established itself as an organization dedicated to supporting artists in Conway. Create Conway will continue those efforts with a broader focus on community engagement and placemaking in the city of Conway.
Katie Wilson, a Conway resident of 16 years and active participant in the art community, was announced as the new Executive Director. “As Create Conway, we are focused on amplifying Conway as a destination for arts, culture and entertainment,” Wilson announced at the party. Wilson introduced Create Conway’s initiatives for 2025 including plans for a community calendar in partnership with Visit Conway, fundraising for public art installations and a strategic marketing campaign to promote the arts in Conway and the surrounding region. Finally, the 2025 Conway Art Walk season was revealed with a different theme for each month and plans for expansion.
The run of the show included comments from Create Conway’s Board President, Jessica Crum, Senior Vice President of First Community Bank, Lori Melton, and Visit Conway’s Executive Director, Rachel Shaw. Sponsorship opportunities are available for Conway Art Walk and larger Create Conway initiatives.
